46 year old,single male in Ohio. I'm "the toyguy" because I work in the toy dept. of a large retail store.

2009 Goals:
- Pay myself back $344 for muffler repairs on my car from December of 08.
- Add $400 to my E-Fund
- Hold off as much as possible on my smaller "funds" and goals till first 2 goals are done.
X- Continue saving for a total of $4000 for 2009 IRA.
- Start saving for total of $3000 for 2010 IRA.
- Have my first ever yard sale when the weather starts getting nice this spring.
- Try to take a real vacation around July or August possibly to Costa Rica.
- Pay at least $100 extra per month to Mortgage principal. I plan to pay off my mortgage completely before the 20 year mark which is about 3 years from now.

2008 Goals:
- Continue using Quicken to keep my checking and other accounts in order.
- Save at least an additional $400 into my
E-Fund (DONE) which currently has $1,200 in it. My overall goal for E-Fund is $12,000.
- Slowly work on building up a car fund. (VERY SLOWLY)
- Save enough into Travel Fund to take a good vacation in October. (Saved enough money but cannot travel this year)
Save $4000 for 2009 IRA contribution.
- Continue my "Paper (clutter) Challenge"
- More to come as I think it over.

Vacation Pics Number 4

Last entry for the vacation pictures of Costa Rica. I'm glad some of you enjoyed seeing them and I enjoyed showing them.

This is just a view of the forest from the canopy tour.

There were lots of leaf cutter ants and the sign points them out cause they bite.

Here is the hotel I stayed at. Its not a fancy hotel but it was very comfortable, had internet access and cable TV and was very reasonably priced.

Here's just a typical view of a street in San Jose. You can see what the official taxis look like, and the misty mountains in the background.

This is a nice view out in the countryside. There were lots of farms and plantations. You can tell just by looking at it how fertile the soil must be.

Last but not least. This was one of my favorites. Very poisonous but cute. These were the frogs from the movie Apocalypco that they made poison darts out of.

Thanks again for sharing. I love those little frogs. Our zoo has some blue poison dart frogs that look just like that.

Just glanced at your side bar. Are you aware the maximum IRA contribution allowed is $5,000? I noticed you saved $4K and are already saving towards 2010. It might not hurt to get that money in there now while prices are low. Of course, you may have another plan!!

Thanks Creditcardfree for the info about the IRA. I do know that the max is $5000 but yeah my plan is somewhat different. I basically have so many things that I need to accomplish with a pretty limited income. So I have set my own max at $4000 so that I can put the rest of the money towards other things. I just can't afford that extra thousand.

Ooh, more great pics! Poison dart frogs are so cute. I have two bright blue ones on my calendar at work this month.

Yep, poison dart frogs obey the biological rule:

If you are brightly colored, you are either sexy or deadly.
