Credit increase

August 29th, 2009 at 03:42 pm

Got a letter from Chase that they raised my credit limit from $7000 to 10,000.

They really want me to spend some money.
It really doesn't matter cause I always charge basically the same things and pay them off when I get the bill.

Yeah but I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid. :-)

Hmmm... could be a good sign in the credit industry. They aren't going to raise anything for me, but I do have 4 cards with them. They've extended me plenty of credit across the board - I only use 2 regularly. One is grandfathered in with old terms of 5% gas/grocery/pharmacy. Smile
At least a higher CL will just make your utilization look better. Nothing wrong with that at all!

Well whadda ya know, I was wrong! I just logged in and see that Chase bumped one of my accounts from $10000 to $13000. Interesting. The worst that card usually sees is around $1000 a month. More often than not lately, it's been under $400. Thanks Chase! Smile

Good for you dmontengrey. Maybe its the Credit cards version of a stimulus package that they are uping credit limits.

Thanks Jerry. You are right that they could offer me the moon and I'll just stick to what I'm doing.
