Boring Tuesday

September 9th, 2008 at 04:39 pm

Well I ate and just caught up with my SA blog reading. Thats about it for today. LOL.
This evening I'm going to a lecture/demonstration of Fencing at the library. I took fencing for a couple of years but its still interesting to me.
If I ever start taking a class on fencing again I'd pretty much have to start all over from the beginning.

Nothing to report financially right now.

Well off to see if I can find something to do for awhile.

Fencing huh? I've always thought fencing is interesting, but never had a group or club that I was aware of to join or at least watch.

But hey, please let me know how it works out. Feel free to take pictures even. By the way, why do you like fencing?

Whoops, I even got the date wrong. It turns out that the Fencing demo. is next tuesday. Ohh well while I was at the Library I took a bunch of movies out to watch.

Good question BA. I was always interested in fencing but never thought I'd get to try it. I think its because I loved watching all the swordplay on Sinbad and swashbuckler type movies.
A few years ago I finally found a place fairly near me that gives lessons. I tried it out and really enjoyed it. Its somewhat difficult but yet anyone can do it. Its something you can do on your own level. Even if you aren't very good at it,it doesn't really matter. You can strive to improve. Its also a very healthy sport that excercises your entire body instead of just
one part of it. They call it "physical chess" because it also uses your brain. So it just is a great all round sport and fun.

Physical chess! Great description. That's in part why I've always enjoyed martial arts, because it pitted just you against someone, toe-to-toe, one-on-one... only without the weaponry.
